Hand-Crafted Awesome

One word: ETSY.

I'm obsessed. You can find anything and everything on that site, and it is guaranteed to be a million times more charming than you would have imagined. I am constantly on Etsy searching for wedding related items, one of which was a guest book/photo album.

I got the idea for a Guest book album from our photographer, Noa, who showed us the ones she designs and that are available for purchase. Her's are beautiful flush mount albums, but were out of our price range, so I went on the hunt, which brought me to Etsy...which brought me to Etsy store Lacuna.

Lacuna is run by an adorable woman named Hana who lives with her family in Portugal. She makes personalized photo albums, journals, or any other books from recycled wood, and hand carves beautiful pictures onto the covers.

Here's the link to her Etsy store and her Flickr page.

Aren't they amazing?? I had to have one! I thought it would be perfect for our outdoor/vintage inspired wedding.

Hana just emailed me 2 days ago with the finished product that only took about 10 days for her to complete!

And here it is:

It's absolutely perfect, and exactly how I imagined it to look! The best part, is that is cost less than $100 including the shipping from Portugal! It doesn't get much better than that!!

Something blue....

I'm not quite sure what my something old, new, or borrowed will be...yet, but my something blue will be my shoes.
And let me just tell you....it's not easy finding a cute blue shoe!
My options are slightly limited due to the fact that we'll be on grass the whole time. I'm hunting and searching for a wedge or flat, but preferably a small wedge.
I won't say there aren't ANY out there, but like anything else, the shoes I like are out of my price range.

Like this beauty....
I wish I could run to Barneys and snatch you up!

Pierre Hardy Ankle Wrap Slingback- $680 oh wait...they're on sale for $409 :/

Spread the word for blue shoes! I'm on the hunt!

Martin Farms-Sneak Peek

Isn't it lovely?

Last week I had the rare opportunity to "hang out and be girls" with the lovely Sharon Martin, all day! Her 60+ hour work week, along with being a mom to two adorable youngin's, plus being a smokin' wife, rarely allot for "girl time". So we sipped margarita's and enjoyed the gorgeous Phoenix day, in the back yard.

It's hard to tell in this picture, but the tall bush in the back is a huge honeysuckle plant that is growing over an arch-way that leads into the flower garden, or as Sharon likes to call it her "secret garden". The ceremony will take place in front of that arch-way, which I think is absolutely perfect.

Only 11 days until we come upon our 1 year-until-the-wedding mark! I'll be taking a TON of photo's of Martin Farms next week, so please stay tuned!

Hair Inspiration

Hello Gorgeous!

I've been growing my hair out for a while now, and I was contemplating chopping it off right before the wedding, but then I saw this photo, and my love for long hair has been renewed.

I even love the hair piece, made by , but I don't speak French... So how do I order one??
Translator anyone?

xox,

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

I'm finally going to be updating this blog at more regular intervals....instead of once every 6 months!

It's wedding time guys!

Updates:

Sad, but true- our original venue of choice, called Ivanhoe Estate, has fallen through. Apparently they're site coordinator had some crazy family things going on, and they were "restructuring" the position. Well I don't think it's happening. We have had zero contact since January and now the website is gone.

Moving on....

We found a new place!!

The lovely Martin Farms, right here in good 'ol Phoenix, AZ.

Actually our very close friends, Chad and Sharon Martin, have graciously and excitedly offered up their place to us! If any of you have been to their house, you'll know how adorable and charming it is (I will be posting pictures soon).

Their backyard is the epitome of a "lets-get-together-and-be-friends" backyard. I mean there's a tree house, tree swing, fire pit, secret garden, fruit trees, a huge pecan tree, chickens, goats!, a vegetable garden, garden gnomes....I could go on forever!
Let's just say we're in love.

For the first time, I am truly excited and looking forward to planning this wedding. It doesn't seem like a giant stress-fest anymore! It's finally feeling fun, and that the pieces are coming together harmoniously. That's what it's about right?!

Stay posted for pictures of Martin Farms.
